Tawang, Dirang and Bomdila Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Pick up Guwahati Airport/Railway Station & transfer to Shergaon. On the way visit Kolia Bhomora Setu – on the river Brahmaputra for Dolphin sightseeings . Shergaon, an offbeat destination, beckons with its unique allure near Bhutan Border. After refreshment visit to a 300-year-old Gompa (A silent witness to Shergaon's rich cultural legacy. The ancient monastery exudes a timeless spirituality, its architectural nuances telling stories of a bygone era). Discover a hidden gem—a breathtaking waterfall amidst meandering landscapes, adding a touch of natural grandeur to Shergaon's picturesque setting. Dinner and Overnight at Shergaon.
Day 2
Check after breakfast, drop to Sangti Valley via Tonga Valley. Sangti Valley (A picturesque valley known for its stunning landscapes). En route see Dirang Dzong. Check into hotel. Dinner and Overnight at Sangti Valley.
Day 3
Today visit Mandala Top (A hilltop viewpoint offering scenic views and a popular spot for birding) and Dirang River. Overnight at Sangti Valley.
Day 4
Check out after breakfast and Drive to Tawang. En route visit Sela Pass, Sela Lake, Jaswant Garh (A site to remember the martyrs of the 1962 Indo-China War). Check into hotel and Overnight at Tawang.
Day 5
Morning day starts with Bumla pass (Bum La Pass stands as a testament to the strategic and historic significance of the Tawang region, serving as an Indo-China border point), PTSO Lake (The lake derives its name from the initials of the Pankang Teng Tso, P.T.S.O. The crystal-clear waters of PTSO Lake reflect the surrounding snow-capped peaks, creating a mesmerizing sight. Surrounded by alpine meadows and embraced by the majestic Himalayas, the lake provides a tranquil escape for nature enthusiasts) & Maduri lake (Madhuri Lake, locally known as Shonga-tser Lake, is a mesmerizing high-altitude lake nestled amid the breathtaking landscapes of Tawang). Back to hotel and after refreshment visit Wat Memorial Show (enjoy a captivating light and sound show that pays tribute to the valor of the Indian Army). Dinner and Overnight at Tawang.
Day 6
After breakfast Tawang Monastery (One of the largest and Oldest Monestry in India), Ani Gompa (The female monks run), Urgelling Monastery (A serene and spiritually significant location as the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama and Tawang War Memorial. Dinner and Overnight at Tawang.
Day 7
After that move towards Nuranang Falls (JANG FALLS). After a lovely view of this waterfalls move to Bomdila, En route see Nag Temple & Gontse Garden Rabgye Ling Monastery. Check into hotel, after refreshment Have option to visit the Popular Craft Center at Bomdila (Female traders run the Craft Center). Overnight at Bomdila.
Day 8
Check out after breakfast and drop to Guwahati Railway Station/Airport.
